The Derby Elk Resort is centrally located to all Black Hills attractions. Here are a few of the most popular:

• 1880's Train - Enjoy a two hour and fifteen minute round trip through the scenic Black Hills. The ride travels through the hills between Hill City and Keystone and back again.
• Crazy Horse Memorial - located 9 miles from Derby Elk Resort.
• Mount Rushmore - located 9 miles from Derby Elk Resort near Keystone.
• Custer State Park - is 15 miles from us and where you can go hiking to Harney Peak, biking, horseback riding, rock climbing, fishing, enjoy chuckwagon suppers and go for jeep rides. Also, where the buffalo roam freely!
• Hill City - less than 6 miles away and offers art galleries, museums, restaurants, wineries, shopping and more.
• Deadwood: 45 miles, about 1 hour away is Deadwood, an old western town that offers gambling, restaurants and other wild activities.
• Bear Country- A Wild Animal Park - 15 miles away and is a great place to see bears up close. Other wildlife may venture up to your car!
• Reptile Garden - 15 miles from Derby Elk resort. Experience snakes, snakes and more snakes, turtles, birds of prey, botanical gardens and much more.
